What is needed to get online ?
A club wanting to get online needs first a computer that is connected to the net.Connectivity cannot be provided by the LionNet but everybody have to find their own ways online. The machine does not have to be new and expensive, there’s no rocket science involved and it does not take a computer nerd to do it. It just takes a couple of hours to learn the basics of web page design, but basically it’s just typing text with a few commands. The most important question to consider though is the content, why it should interest people and what would make people want to come back to the club site, to find out about new things.
It takes interest in becoming an editor. Updating and changing are extremely important. Nobody would want to read the same years old issue of “The Lion” over and over again, so why should they read your old homepage if it’s not refreshed regularly ?
