How to get your readers back to your pages a second time
If you print a magazine you renew all the contents at every issue. On the net you can and should do changes and updatesmuch more often than a magazine publishes issues, but you don’t change all of it. The art is in the trick how do you get the people back to your pages over and over again so that your real important news get through ?
You have to give them a reason. Some people doing Internet marketing give something for free every day, or they may have a funny cartoon that changes regularly. A news forum is nice but shall be maintained and edited daily or at least weekly. You may also want to publish day to day results of some activity that interests people. Or you may set up some interesting service for free that changes daily: money exchange rates, football league results, an electronic dictionary or a search tool, whatever. The trick of the trade is to be creative and make people REMEMBER your site.
At LionNet International, our “trick” is keeping the links lists to all possible Lions sites all over the world and also to maintain a “new links” page. People want to come and have a look at LionNet to find out what’s new on the net about lionism. But all this takes a lot of work.
