The net is much used to quickly contact “just any lions member” in some country, or sometimes not even near that country…
One of the most usual requests is “I’m going to travel to XYZ in two days, please tell me the names and addresses of some local lions so I can meet them”
“I’m travelling to Korea tomorrow morning. My father was there during the Korean war in the 1950’s and met a lions member called Mr. XX. Can you please find his address and telephone number for me before tomorrow morning”
“I would like to become a lions member. I live in the United Arab Emirates. What should I do ?”
“Do you collect spectacles? We would need them here in Sri Lanka and we would like to establish a club twinning relation with you”
“Hi. I don’t know anything about Finland. Do you have a lot of lions there? What is Finland like ? Do you have a lot of polar bears ? Eskimos? What do you do for living ?”
