Vision

Lions are committed worldwide to preserving sight. Since Helen Keller challenged Lions in 1925 to become “knights of the blind,” Lions have strengthened eye health and made treatment possible for millions of people.

Today, an estimated 80 percent of visual impairments can be prevented or cured. This makes the Lions’ work in this field more important than ever.

Lions provide vision screenings, raise awareness in their communities, help build and support eye clinics, and support blind and visually impaired people with appropriate assistive devices.
