Lions Europa Forum: Inspiration, Vision and Commitment
We proudly look back on the highlights of this year’s Lions Europa Forum. Our fellow Lion Robert C. Rettby, candidate for 3rd International Vice President, was introduced by former International President Gudrun Yngvadottir. Amid great applause, Robert received an unanimous endorsement from all countries – a strong sign of trust and appreciation for his leadership. In his address to the Lions of Europe, he spoke passionately about his vision: creating greater local impact, fostering stronger international collaboration, and ensuring sustainable humanitarian service. We are proud to have such a capable and dedicated candidate among us and wish Robert continued success on his journey. We Serve.
Another highlight was the opening ceremony, led by PID Teresa Dineen, president of the forum, whose warm words set the tone for an inspiring event. The keynote speech by Kevin Wheland, head of the Vision Ireland Foundation, presented a range of innovative projects that motivated many Lions to bring new ideas into their clubs. Beautiful musical performances framed the ceremony, adding to its festive atmosphere and marking the beginning of a forum full of energy, exchange, and Lions spirit.
Our Lion friend Petra Wildemann captivated the audience with her inspiring presentation on the Youth Camp and Exchange Program. With expertise and enthusiasm, she showed how these activities help young people grow, foster cross-cultural understanding, and create lasting international friendships. She also presented the 2026 program in Switzerland, sparking great anticipation and enthusiasm.
The Europa Forum was not only a place of meetings but a true source of inspiration for the future – proving once again that when Lions unite, their impact multiplies.
